Airswift is looking for a Safety Advisor II to work for a major O&G company in the Spring, TX, for an initial 12-months assignment.

This opportunity sits within a refinery and chemical complex environment and focuses on contractor performance, safety stewardship, and operational interface management across the contract lifecycle. The role offers the chance to support high-risk contractor engagement, strengthen contractor management practices, and contribute to consistent safety processes in an oil and gas setting. This position is suited to professionals with strong OSHA knowledge, field safety expertise, and the ability to influence stakeholders through clear communication.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of safety experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Practical field knowledge in upstream, production, or well servicing environments.
  • Experience working with contractor management and contractor performance improvement activities.
  • Background participating in contractor evaluation, selection, mobilisation readiness, and engagement meetings.
  • Experience addressing contractor performance issues and supporting escalation where required.

Required Skills:

  • Strong safety background with the ability to support contractor safety performance throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, API, and industry best practices.
  • Ability to lead kickoff meetings and participate in periodic engagement meetings for high-risk contractors.
  • Capability to review performance regularly with contract administration stakeholders and provide input for contractor scorecards.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence alignment across business units and mentor others.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with contractor counterparts.
  • Preparedness for domestic and Canada travel of approximately 15–20% to provide training at other sites.

Required Certifications:

  • ASP or CSP.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Previous experience with a major integrated energy company.
