We are seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to support large-scale Oil & Gas construction projects. This role is responsible for providing advanced safety leadership, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards, and promoting a strong safety culture across project operations. The successful candidate will act as a key advisor to site leadership and EPC contractors, helping drive excellence in Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safety and health support to project leadership teams and EPC contractor personnel.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety standards, procedures, and documented best practices.
  • Review new project designs and facility upgrades to ensure compliance with company and industry safety requirements.
  • Conduct safety assessments, audits, inspections, and risk evaluations.
  • Investigate incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Respond to emergency situations, providing technical guidance and safety expertise as needed.
  • Promote safety awareness through training programs, presentations, and educational initiatives.
  • Develop safety communication materials and contribute to company safety campaigns.
  • Monitor safety metrics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and support junior safety professionals.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field preferred.
  • ASP (Associate Safety Professional) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in construction safety roles within the Upstream Oil & Gas industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful safety performance on complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Experience working with EPC contractors and construction field environments.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience working within multicultural and multilingual project environments.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Must be able to work in active construction environments.
  • Ability to walk on uneven terrain, climb stairs and ladders, stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and perform other physical activities as required.
  • Comfortable working in remote locations and challenging weather conditions, including temperature and humidity extremes.
  • Willingness to travel and remain away from home for extended periods as project needs require.
