Job Title: Senior Aboriginal Affairs Advisor (6 months contract)
Duration: 6 months
Schedule: 5 days work
Location: Perth, Western Australia
This opportunity sits within a Corporate Affairs / Aboriginal Affairs environment and will support the delivery of Aboriginal Affairs strategy, Reconciliation Action Plan activity, and stakeholder engagement initiatives. The role is designed to add capability across program delivery, governance support, and strategic document development during a period of high organisational demand. This position will contribute to RAP implementation, internal engagement, and broader social performance and ESG-related work.
Required Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in Aboriginal Affairs, Indigenous Engagement, Community Relations, Social Performance, Sustainability, ESG, or a related field.
- Experience supporting governance, reporting, and program delivery activities.
- Experience preparing briefing notes, presentations, reports, strategy documents, and policy documents.
- Experience coordinating projects, monitoring milestones, deliverables, and action items across multiple workstreams.
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of reconciliation, Indigenous engagement, and Aboriginal Affairs frameworks within corporate or government environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Excellent written communication skills, including report and policy writing.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to undertake research, benchmarking, and data analysis to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Reconciliation Action Plans (RAPs).
- Understanding of Indigenous employment, supplier diversity, and cultural capability programs.
- Experience within the resources, energy, infrastructure, or government sectors.
