Senior Accountant
1. FULL SETS OF ACCOUNTS
• Support the finance manager in reviewing, preparing and posting all complex journal entries in UFIDA ERP: accruals, provisions, intercompany transactions, foreign exchange gain/loss, payroll & overhead allocation
• Monitoring sub-ledger-to-GL reconciliation for AP, AR, fixed assets, prepayments, accruals and other balance sheet accounts; investigate & clear reconciling items timely
• Maintain GL master data, ensure proper account coding, cost centers / job number classification
2. QUARTERLY ACCOUNTING CLOSINGS
• Execute full close checklist following group financial calendar
• Perform analytical review of Balance Sheet & P&L fluctuations
3. FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
• Support the finance manager in preparing statutory financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting principles
• Reconcile China local books vs group IFRS-adjusted figures, document all GAAP adjustment entries
4. AUDIT TAX AND COMPLIANCE SUPPORT
• Serve as primary contact for Big 4 external annual audit, provide full supporting vouchers, contracts, bank statements and audit evidence; respond to audit queries efficiently
• Strong familiarity with IFRS (in particular IFRS 9, 15, 16 and IFRS 18)
5. INTERNAL CONTROL & GROUP POLICIES
• Implement global group accounting policies,
• Identify inefficiency during month-end close, propose process improvement and digitalization suggestions
6. AD HOC TASKS
• Support budget & forecast data extraction and analysis
• Complete other finance assignments assigned by Finance Manager
Background and skills requirement:
• Degree in accountings or related
• 6-8 years accountant role for MNC company
• Including at least 2-3 years financial audit related work experience audit firm
• Professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, or equivalent)
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken, able to deal with multiple foreign stakeholders based in China, in the region and in Europe
• Knowledge of EPR systems, ideally UFIDA accounting software
