Job Title: Senior Cost Engineer
Duration: 12 months
Schedule: Monday - Friday, full-time
Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands
This opportunity focuses on reviewing and validating project cost estimation, budgeting, and financial planning across the project lifecycle. The position sits within a technical engineering and construction environment, supporting cost control, estimate consolidation, and budget performance on complex projects. This role will work closely with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to provide reliable financial insight and help drive effective decision-making.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in cost engineering, project cost control, or a similar role
- Experience within construction, engineering, or oil and gas environments
- Proven involvement in project cost estimation, budgeting, and financial planning
Required Skills:
- Ability to review and validate project cost estimates and budget assumptions
- Strong cost control capability across the full project lifecycle
- Experience analysing cost variances and supporting budget adherence
- Ability to consolidate accurate estimates in line with schedule and execution plans
- Effective collaboration with project managers, engineers, finance teams, and other stakeholders
- Strong financial insight to support project decision-making
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification such as AACE, PMP, or CCE
