Airswift is partnering with a leading resources client to recruit a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for a major portfolio of studies and projects.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute across concept, FEED and detailed design phases while supporting significant brownfield and greenfield developments.
Responsibilities
- Deliver concept and detailed design of electrical distribution systems for processing facilities.
- Design and develop electrical infrastructure including substations, switchrooms, HV/LV systems, cabling, lighting and lightning protection systems.
- Prepare electrical calculations, equipment selections, datasheets, load lists, equipment lists and technical documentation.
- Develop and manage equipment specifications, requisitions and technical evaluations.
- Review vendor documentation and provide technical support throughout procurement and delivery phases.
- Support multidiscipline engineering teams and review design documentation, layouts and 3D models.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations and industry best practices.
- Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, Safety in Design and risk review workshops.
- Deliver engineering outputs in accordance with project budgets and schedules.
About You
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years' experience within mining, resources or heavy industry projects.
- Experience across concept studies, FEED and detailed design phases.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, protection systems and electrical infrastructure design.
- Experience managing vendor packages and technical procurement activities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering environments.
