About the Role
Airswift is partnering with a major project owner to recruit a Senior Electrical Engineer (5:2 roster) for a landmark data centre development in Western Australia.
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly skilled project team delivering critical infrastructure at scale. As demand for data and digital capability continues to grow, this project will play a key role in supporting future capacity and operational resilience.
You'll work alongside engineering, construction and project delivery professionals to help drive technical outcomes across complex electrical infrastructure packages. The role offers genuine variety, with involvement spanning design reviews, stakeholder engagement, technical problem solving, construction support and project execution.
This position would suit an engineer who enjoys working on large, high-profile projects and wants to influence key engineering decisions from early development through to project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across electrical infrastructure packages throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and assess engineering designs to ensure compliance, reliability and operational performance.
- Work closely with consultants, contractors and specialist vendors to achieve project objectives.
- Support the delivery of critical power infrastructure including substations, switchgear and distribution systems.
- Participate in technical workshops, design reviews and engineering assurance activities.
- Resolve engineering challenges and provide practical solutions during project execution.
- Contribute to project planning, cost estimates and technical risk assessments.
- Support site-based activities during construction and commissioning phases.
- Build strong relationships across project teams and key stakeholders.
- Mentor developing engineers and contribute to a collaborative engineering culture.
About You
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering.
- Experienced delivering electrical engineering outcomes within major industrial, infrastructure, energy, resources, utilities or critical facilities environments.
- Strong understanding of power systems and electrical infrastructure associated with large capital projects.
- Comfortable working across multidisciplinary teams and managing a variety of technical stakeholders.
- Able to balance detail-oriented engineering with broader project and commercial objectives.
- Confident reviewing engineering documentation and providing technical guidance throughout project delivery.
- A strong communicator who can effectively engage with contractors, consultants and project leadership teams.
- Professional registration, chartership or progression towards registration will be highly regarded.
