Job Title: Senior Estimator

This opportunity focuses on leading early estimating activities for capital projects within the oil and gas sector, supporting cost estimating, budgeting, risk analysis, and project assurance across projects of varying complexity. The role offers broad exposure to project cost models, Basis of Estimate development, contractor estimate validation, and cost and schedule risk assessment work. This position is well suited to professionals with strong experience in major capital projects, cost engineering data work processes, and estimating software such as ASPEN Capital Cost Estimator or QUE$TOR.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of estimating and/or project controls experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience supporting large upstream and downstream projects, including onshore and offshore environments.
- Experience developing project cost estimates across different phases of project maturity.
- Experience reviewing and validating contractor cost estimates, engineering studies, productivity assumptions, labour factors, and resource estimates.
- Experience participating in cost and schedule risk assessment engagements and contingency development.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in ASPEN Capital Cost Estimator and/or QUE$TOR, or equivalent estimating software.
- Experience with Monte Carlo simulations or other risk-based estimating techniques.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of standardised cost engineering data work processes and tools, including benchmarking, statistical analysis, regressions, cost estimating, and cost and schedule assurance.
- Ability to develop and maintain project cost models for estimating, budgeting, risk assessments, and strategic project evaluations.
- Ability to integrate risk analysis, contingency planning, escalation factors, uncertainty assessments, and probabilistic outputs into project cost estimates and budgets.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, manage multiple priorities, and operate with minimal supervision.
- Capability to support development of Work Breakdown Structures, Cost Breakdown Structures, and estimating structures that support budgeting, forecasting, and project controls.
