This opportunity sits within a Trading & Supply environment and offers the chance to contribute to the design, development and delivery of scalable, high-performance applications. The role will support full-stack development across responsive UI, APIs, microservices and cloud-based deployments, while also influencing architecture, performance and technical best practice. This position is well suited to candidates with strong experience across modern front-end frameworks, back-end technologies, cloud platforms and Agile delivery.
Required Experience:
6–10+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
Strong experience designing, developing and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications.
Experience building APIs, microservices and system integrations.
Experience working with cloud platforms for application hosting and deployments.
Experience participating in sprint planning, estimation, grooming and Agile ceremonies.
Experience mentoring junior and mid-level developers and contributing to technical direction.
Required Skills:
Strong proficiency in front-end technologies including React, Angular or Vue, alongside HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Solid back-end development experience with Node.js, .NET, Java or Python.
Strong understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL.
Strong database knowledge across SQL platforms such as PostgreSQL, MySQL and SQL Server, as well as NoSQL technologies including MongoDB, Cosmos DB and DynamoDB.
Hands-on experience with cloud services, ideally Azure or AWS.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
Ability to contribute to application architecture, technical designs, sequence diagrams and solution documentation.
Strong problem-solving ability, analytical thinking, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives within Agile/Scrum teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures or serverless technologies.
Exposure to security practices, OAuth2, SSO and secure coding principles.
Prior experience leading development streams.
Exposure to DataBricks, PowerBI and Python.
