Job Title: Senior Functional Safety Engineer
Duration: 12 months renewable 
Schedule: Monday - Friday ( 3 days ofdice based & 2 days home office) 
Sponsorship Provided: Yes
Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands

This opportunity is focused on designing and engineering solutions that achieve high standards of safety, reliability, and sustainability within a relevant engineering discipline. The role supports project delivery through functional safety related analysis, system interface management, and compliance with international codes, company standards, and industry regulations. This position offers the chance to contribute to strategic project objectives while working across vendors, subcontractors, and third-party studies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Select appropriate methods and procedures to deliver engineering work within the scope of the specifications.
  • Optimise design solutions in line with international codes, company standards, and industry regulations.
  • Plan and complete activities and deliverables within agreed time frames and budgets.
  • Ensure system interfaces are effectively managed across the assigned scope of work.
  • Deliver assigned work in accordance with contractual requirements and internal engineering requirements.
  • Apply relevant lessons learned and assess change impact within and across project system boundaries.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and third parties to support successful project execution.

Required Education & Certifications:

  • Engineer Diploma in a relevant discipline (Required)

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of functional safety related analysis and studies.
  • Experience working on FPSO or offshore projects 
  • Ability to work in compliance with international codes, industry standards, and engineering regulations.
  • Capability to manage design optimisation, technical delivery, and system interfaces.
  • Ability to assess change impact across project system boundaries.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors, subcontractors, and third parties in a project delivery environment.

  • Lead other engineers on a defined scope of work, where required.
