Senior Go Engineer

Location: Poland (B2B) or Czech Republic (Employment Preferred), Fully Remote with overlap to EST working hours
Our client is looking for a Senior Go Engineer to build and enhance the backend services, APIs, and internal systems that support critical healthcare-focused products used at scale.
Some overlap with EST working hours preferred as client based in Latin America.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain high-performance Go-based services and microservices.
- Build scalable cloud-native solutions using AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless technologies.
- Develop and support APIs and backend systems powering customer onboarding and internal platforms.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver new product functionality.
- Drive improvements in code quality through testing, automation, monitoring, and continuous refactoring.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering best practices and standards.
- Analyse system performance and troubleshoot complex production issues.
Must-Have Skills:
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- Extensive commercial Go development experience.
- Strong AWS cloud and microservices architecture experience.
- Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless technologies (Lambda).
- Strong knowledge of Kafka and TypeScript.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Monitoring and observability experience using tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, Sentry, or similar.
- Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience working within Agile environments.
Nice-to-Have:
- React or other front-end framework experience.
- GraphQL experience.
- TDD, BDD, and automated testing expertise.
- Previous experience supporting large-scale distributed systems.
