SENIOR INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER

Airswift is seeking for a Senior instrumentation Engineer to work with our client based in QATAR. 

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • 6 years’ experience in oil and gas environment
  • Working knowledge of:
    • DCS
    • PLCs
    • ESD / F&G Systems
    • Anti-Surge Control Systems
    • Metering Systems
    • Turbine / Compressor Control Systems
    • Computer skills:
      • Microsoft Office
      • SAP
      • CONVAL
      • InstruCal
  • Full knowledge of SIL requirements
  • Plan and support Instrumentation / Fire & Gas (F&G) Engineering activities at Senior Engineer level during EPC and Startup phase until handover to permanent Asset.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet Operations expectations Safety, Operability, Reliability, and Maintainability

 

Key Job Accountabilities

  1. Support surveillance and administration programs for critical Instrument and F&G systems to achieve Reliability, Availability, and Cyber Security.
  2. Provide Instrument / F&G engineering support including design reviews (SIL workshops, assessment and verification, HAZOP), commissioning, startup, failure analysis, and advanced troubleshooting.
  3. Support integrity program implementation for Instrument / F&G to ensure Safety, Reliability, and Availability.
  4. Provide technical input to other disciplines and functions to support business objectives.
  5. Supervise contractors, consultants, and service providers
  6. Guide less experienced engineers in integrity systems and reliability systems.
  7. Support project tie-in requirements for all systems under responsibility.
  8. Maintain Issue Register to identify critical issues and resolve risks (including new technology risks) impacting Reliability, Availability, and Cyber Security.
  9. Support high-risk commissioning activities for large-scale projects, including system surveillance, tuning and optimizing Instrument and F&G systems, and providing advisory support to Operations and Maintenance.
