Job Title: Senior Material and Corrosion Engineer
Duration: Long term project (12 months’ renewable)
Schedule: Full-time, 3 days office based and 2 days home based
Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands



This opportunity is focused on delivering safe, reliable and sustainable engineering solutions within the oil and gas sector, with exposure to EPC and offshore project environments. The role supports design optimisation, technical delivery and interface coordination across project boundaries while working to international codes, company standards and industry regulations. This position offers involvement in long-term engineering work where material and corrosion expertise can make a direct impact on project success.



Required Education:

  • Engineer Diploma in a relevant discipline

Required Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in the oil and gas industry

  • Extensive EPC company experience

  • Work experience in Europe

  • Experience delivering engineering work within international codes, industry standards and regulated project environments

Required Skills:

  • Ability to design and engineer solutions that meet high standards of safety, reliability and sustainability

  • Strong capability in selecting methods and procedures, performing technical work and optimising design within defined specifications

  • Ability to plan and complete activities and deliverables within agreed time frames and budgets

  • Experience managing system interfaces and understanding change impact across project system boundaries

  • Ability to coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and third parties in line with contractual and internal requirements

  • Capability to apply lessons learned to ongoing engineering delivery

  • Ability to provide technical responsibility for package design, procurement and manufacture when assigned

  • Leadership capability to guide engineers on assigned scope of work and support discipline leadership activities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Offshore project experience
