Senior Mechanical & Piping Engineer

About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Mechanical & Piping Engineer to join an established engineering team in Gladstone. This role combines hands-on engineering delivery with client engagement, providing the opportunity to work across studies, brownfield upgrades, and detailed design projects within heavy industrial environments.
This is a genuine client-facing role suited to an engineer who enjoys developing trusted relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering practical engineering solutions while remaining technically involved in project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical and piping engineering activities from concept through detailed design and site implementation.
Prepare and review calculations, specifications, reports, datasheets, scopes of work, and technical documentation.
Deliver practical brownfield solutions considering safety, constructability, operability, maintainability, cost, and schedule.
Engage with clients, operators, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Conduct site visits to investigate issues, verify conditions, and support construction and commissioning activities.
Manage technical quality, engineering risk, project budgets, and delivery commitments.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Identify operational challenges and develop practical engineering solutions.
Represent the business professionally within the local market.
About You
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
RPEQ registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
Strong experience in mechanical and/or piping engineering within mining, minerals processing, energy, chemicals, or heavy industrial sectors.
Experience delivering brownfield studies, design, and site-based engineering projects.
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, solve problems, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
