Senior Piping Engineer

Perth, WA

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Piping Engineer to join a leading project development and engineering team delivering major projects across the energy, resources, and process industries.

This role will play a key part in the development and delivery of large-scale projects, providing piping engineering expertise across various stages of project development, from concept and feasibility through to detailed design and execution.

About the Role

Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of piping engineering and process plant design activities while providing technical assurance, risk management, and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assurance throughout design, construction, and operational phases.
  • Oversee and review engineering contractor deliverables and activities.
  • Review and approve piping engineering drawings, specifications, datasheets, and requisitions.
  • Lead piping layout development, plot plan reviews, and 3D model assessments.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.

What you'll need to have

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in piping engineering within mining, energy, oil & gas, chemicals, or process plant environments.
  • Strong experience in:

    • Piping design and engineering
    • Piping layout development
    • Plot plans and plant layouts
    • 3D model reviews
    • Piping stress analysis
  • Experience working on large-scale EPC/EPCM projects.
  • Knowledge of relevant international engineering codes and standards.
  • Experience managing engineering contractors and vendor interfaces.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
