Senior Planner | Mining Rehabilitation Project
Contract until March 2027 | Perth-based | EPCM Environment
Our client, a leading EPCM organisation, is seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join a major mining rehabilitation and closure project. This long-term contract opportunity will see you supporting the final stages of a high-profile site rehabilitation program, working with a range of contractors and stakeholders to successfully deliver the remaining scope of works.
This role is ideal for a planner who enjoys taking ownership of project schedules and thrives in a mature project environment, rather than a traditional construction or build phase project.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and manage the integrated project schedule using Primavera P6
- Lead planning and scheduling activities across rehabilitation, clearing, remediation, and site closure works
- Coordinate with contractors and project teams to ensure accurate progress tracking and forecasting
- Identify schedule risks, constraints, and critical path impacts
- Prepare reporting and schedule updates for project stakeholders
- Support project controls activities and contribute to overall project delivery outcomes
About You
- Proven experience as a Senior Planner or Project Planner within the mining sector
- Strong proficiency with Primavera P6
- Ability to independently own and manage complex project schedules
- Experience working within an EPCM environment
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Rio Tinto project experience will be highly regarded
- Previous exposure to mine closure, rehabilitation, decommissioning, demolition, or remediation projects is advantageous, but not essential
What's On Offer
- Contract opportunity through to March 2027
- Work on a significant mining rehabilitation project with a respected EPCM consultancy
- Collaborative and experienced project team
- Opportunity to contribute to one of the industry's most important closure and rehabilitation programs
If you're a seasoned P6 Planner looking for a role where you can take ownership of scheduling and make a genuine impact on project delivery, we'd love to hear from you.
