A Senior Process Engineer is being sought for a full-time position supporting oil & gas projects in a dynamic engineering environment. This is an opportunity to contribute to a range of technically challenging work across process engineering disciplines.

This company is a leading provider of professional services to the resources & energy sectors and complex process industries, with work spanning Hydrocarbons, Minerals & Metals, Infrastructure & Environment and Power. The company supports projects across the full asset spectrum, from new assets to services that sustain and enhance operating assets.

About the Role

The Senior Process Engineer will contribute to process engineering delivery on oil & gas projects, including SAGD, gas processing, cogeneration, CCUS and refining. Senior Process Engineer support is required to help deliver quality engineering output that meets project, customer and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver process engineering services that meet Client, its customers, and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.

  • Identify and report changes to project scope.

  • Assist with the preparation of proposals, estimates, budgets, and schedules.

  • Support with procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.

  • Write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations, and write purchase orders.

  • Contribute to studies, analyses and recommend actions.

  • Assist with the preparation of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations, and reports.

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in process engineering.

  • Assist and support junior personnel within the process engineering team if required.

  • Communicate effectively with the process engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.

  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Client and its customers.

  • A good working knowledge of the fundamental requirements of process engineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields.

  • A good working knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications.

  • Competent use of process engineering specific software and relevant software such as Aspen HYSYS, CAD, MS Office Suite, etc.

  • Significant process engineering experience in the oil & gas industry on behalf of an engineering firm.

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.

  • Professional Engineer (PEng) status.
