About the Role

This is a Perth-based, full-time 5 days a week role on a 9-months’ contract replacing an incumbent that’s going on long leave. Ad hoc site visits as required.

The Senior Project Engineer will be expected to lead and coordinate engineering project delivery across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases, ensuring safe, efficient, and successful project outcomes while meeting schedule, budget, quality, and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver multi-discipline engineering scopes from concept through commissioning and project close-out.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, change management, and reporting to ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, including vendor and contractor management.
  • Provide technical leadership, resolve project issues, and drive collaboration across disciplines and stakeholders.
  • Supervise and support engineering teams, consultants, and suppliers to meet project, quality, and contractual requirements.
  • Promote HSE, quality, and environmental compliance while delivering safe and sustainable project outcomes.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Engineering degree recognised by Engineers Australia.
  • 5–8 years’ project engineering experience, with strong execution-phase project delivery capability.
  • Experience coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, and site activities for industrial or plant projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, suppliers, stakeholders, and evolving project scopes.
  • Experience in site-based roles and supporting construction and commissioning activities.
  • Experience in oil & gas, chemical, or process industries and commissioning activities is desirable.
