Position Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Project Engineer to work within the oil and gas sector, focused on supporting complex project delivery and Ex compliance activities across multiple project phases. You will play a key role in technical coordination, assurance planning, cross-discipline interface management and project reporting. This role position is well suited to professionals who can provide strong leadership, maintain high technical standards and work effectively within multidisciplinary project environments. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate Ex compliance activities across the project lifecycle.

  • Provide oversight and support for Ex-related activities across engineering, supply chain and construction.

  • Manage interfaces between disciplines and project phases to maintain Ex compliance alignment.

  • Prepare, maintain and support the project Ex assurance plan and project Ex specification.

  • Produce and maintain the project Ex matrix and associated reporting with a focus on accuracy and effective follow-up.

  • Coordinate with relevant project stakeholders to ensure Ex requirements are understood and reflected in proposal submissions and evaluations.

  • Support project-level surveillance of supplier Ex compliance, identifying deficiencies and required clarifications arising from reviews and inspection findings.

  • Work with construction quality leadership to ensure Ex requirements are incorporated into relevant project and equipment documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.

  • Minimum 10 years of project engineering experience within the oil and gas industry.

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving and decision-making capability.

  • Strong analytical, technical, organisational and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.

  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
