Job Title: Senior Project Engineer
Duration: 1 year with potential extensions
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Location: Freeport, TX

This opportunity sits within an engineering team managing minor capital projects in an operating industrial facility. The role focuses on project engineering, change management, contractor coordination, and delivery against budget, schedule, and quality expectations. This position offers the chance to contribute to engineering solutions, multidiscipline project execution, and safe field activity management in a technically demanding environment.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of engineering experience
  • 5+ years of project engineering experience
  • 3+ years of experience in an operating industrial facility
  • Experience managing minor capital projects and coordinating multidiscipline project execution

Required Skills:

  • Ability to develop and review project scopes of work, execution plans, cost estimates, forecasts, and schedules
  • Strong project management and supervision skills, including management of internal and external resources
  • Experience monitoring project progress, developing reports, and delivering presentations to management
  • Knowledge of engineering systems, calculations, applications, operations methods, and materials
  • Ability to interpret design specifications, standards, contracts, codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications
  • Experience with quality assurance planning, KPI development, and change management
  • Ability to manage contractor field activities, formal communications, RFIs, engineering service requests, variance requests, and management of change packages
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to conduct efficient meetings and issue meeting minutes
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software
  • Strong organisational, time management, leadership, decision-making, and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple engineering disciplines and develop efficient engineering solutions and execution methods

Required Certifications:

  • Transportation Worker Identification Card (Required)
  • Valid, unexpired driver license (Required)
