Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Projects, and Master Data teams, you will ensure reliability strategies are successfully transitioned into operational systems and maintenance plans.

Responsibilities

  • Apply reliability engineering methodologies including RCM, FMEA, FMECA, RCA, and asset criticality assessments.
  • Develop and optimise maintenance strategies based on risk, operational history, condition monitoring data, OEM recommendations, and asset performance.
  • Analyse failure trends, outages, maintenance data, and asset health information to identify improvement opportunities and reduce operational risk.
  • Facilitate reliability workshops and technical reviews with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Translate approved reliability strategies into SAP/EAM-ready maintenance plans, task lists, job plans, and master data requirements.
  • Support SAP implementation activities and verify the accuracy of maintenance strategies following system integration.
  • Develop reliability dashboards, reporting tools, and performance metrics to support decision-making.
  • Maintain risk registers, action plans, defect elimination programs, and asset improvement initiatives.
  • Support operational readiness activities from project delivery through commissioning, handover, and transition to operations.
  • Conduct site visits and field verification activities to validate asset information and maintenance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, OEMs, and project stakeholders to improve asset reliability and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with HSEC, asset management, governance, and technical standards.

Requirements

  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Asset Management, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in reliability engineering, maintenance strategy, asset management, or asset risk management within energy, mining, resources, utilities, or heavy industry environments.
  • Strong experience applying RCM, RCA, FMEA, FMECA, asset criticality, and risk-based maintenance methodologies.
  • Proven ability to analyse reliability, maintenance, condition monitoring, and outage data to improve asset performance.
  • Experience developing maintenance strategies and implementing reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Practical knowledge of SAP PM/EAM or similar enterprise asset management systems.
  • Experience working with asset hierarchies, technical objects, maintenance plans, task lists, job plans, and master data.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert technical findings into practical business outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, facilitation, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and deliver outcomes in a complex operational environment.
  • Experience using data analytics and reporting tools to generate reliability insights and decision-ready reports.
  • Current Australian working rights and willingness to travel to operational sites as required.

Highly Regarded

  • Experience with power generation, transmission and distribution networks, substations, renewable energy, battery energy storage systems, or other energy infrastructure assets.
  • Knowledge of ISO 55000 Asset Management principles and reliability engineering standards.
  • Experience with Power BI, SQL, Python, or similar analytics tools.
  • Chartered Engineer, CPEng, CMRP, or equivalent professional accreditation.
  • Experience supporting operational readiness, commissioning, asset handover, and project delivery activities.
