Position Overview
The Senior Sales Engineer – Power is a technical commercial opportunity focused on driving growth within the Power market. Role Context
This role sits within the industrial process instrumentation sector, with a focus on the Power industry. The company supports project-driven activities across engineering, service, and project execution, supplying measurement and instrumentation solutions to industries including power, oil and gas, chemicals, water and wastewater, and energy. The working environment involves close coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders such as clients, consultants, EPC contractors, channel partners, and end users.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business growth and sales targets within the local Power market.
- Manage the full sales cycle from opportunity identification and project development through to proposal preparation, technical and commercial discussions, contract negotiation, order closing, project execution, and after-sales support.
- Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers to expand market presence and identify new opportunities.
- Conduct customer visits, site meetings, technical presentations, and product demonstrations to support business development activities.
- Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals, quotations, presentations, and tender submissions for clients, consultants, EPC contractors, channel partners, and end users.
- Provide pre-sales and after-sales support in coordination with internal departments and customers.
- Offer basic technical support, product application guidance, and first-level troubleshooting when required.
- Submit accurate monthly sales forecasts and performance reports.
- Support operational excellence initiatives and maintain compliance with relevant quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Essential:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of sales, technical, or field service experience in industrial instrumentation, automation, or the Power industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of process instrumentation and the Power industry.
- Proven experience in industrial process instrumentation and control systems.
- Strong commercial acumen with contract negotiation and business development capability.
- Good understanding of Power processes, applications, and industry practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Good command of English & BM
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including extended overseas travel when required.
