Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer
Duration: 3 months contract renewable basis
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
This opportunity is suited to a structural engineering professional with advanced experience in offshore structures design across greenfield and brownfield projects. The role focuses on structural analysis, engineering design, technical review, and cross-discipline coordination, while supporting safe, efficient, and constructible project delivery. This position also offers scope to provide technical guidance to engineers and designers within a technically demanding project environment.
Required Education:
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
Required Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in structural engineering.
- Background in fixed and floating offshore structures design across both greenfield and brownfield projects.
- Experience performing and reviewing structural analysis, engineering reports, and technical deliverables in line with project requirements and schedules.
- Experience leading the structural discipline on small to medium engineering projects.
- Experience coordinating with other engineering disciplines and interfacing with project stakeholders as required.
- Floatover experience.
Required Skills:
- Advanced expertise in structural analysis and design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prepare complex engineering calculations, design reports, and specifications.
- Capability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and designers.
- Advanced knowledge of structural design software including SACS, GRLWEAP, USFOS, SESAM, MOSES, ANSYS, and ABAQUS.
Required Certifications:
- Registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) (Required).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Membership registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.
- Middle East project experience.
