What You'll Do
As a Senior Subcontracts Specialist, you'll lead the subcontracting process for major industrial construction projects, helping ensure commercial success from planning through execution.
You will:
Develop subcontracting and sourcing strategies with project teams
Lead RFQ/RFP processes, bid evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards
Build strong scopes of work and commercial agreements with internal stakeholders
Identify, evaluate, and engage qualified subcontractors
Manage subcontract performance, changes, invoicing, claims, and closeout activities
Provide contract and commercial guidance to project teams
Build strong relationships with subcontractors, clients, and internal stakeholders
Mentor team members and support continuous improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
We're interested in experienced procurement and commercial professionals who bring:
10+ years of subcontract, procurement, or contract management experience
Experience supporting major industrial construction or capital projects
Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and commercial skills
The ability to influence stakeholders and manage competing priorities
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Considered an asset:
SCMP designation
Relevant post-secondary education
