Job Title: Senior System Architect
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Oberkerschen, Luxembourg
This opportunity sits within a complex automotive development environment focused on HV inverter and electrified powertrain systems. The role is centred on system architecture, customer communication, cross-functional technical coordination, and the delivery of robust system concepts across the product lifecycle. This position offers strong technical scope, combining system engineering, functional safety, defect analysis, and collaboration across hardware, software, calibration, safety, and test teams.
Required Education:
- Master's degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field
Required Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in automotive system development for HV inverters, power electronics, or electrified powertrain systems
- Experience leading system architectural design and delivery throughout the product lifecycle
- Experience working directly with automotive customers and managing technical stakeholder discussions
- Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering activities across hardware, software, calibration, safety, and test functions
Required Skills:
- Strong expertise in system architectural design and concept definition
- Strong expertise in HV inverter functions, motor control strategies, and electric propulsion systems
- Solid systems engineering background in system architecture development and system integration
- Ability to develop robust system concepts and requirements covering quality, performance, cost, timing, and customer expectations
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis capability
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety and high-voltage safety requirements
- Ability to support Technical Safety Concepts, SFMEA, and FTA activities
- Technical leadership and the ability to drive complex technical topics to completion
- Strong communication skills in English
- Ability to report technical status, risks, and mitigation plans to engineering and project management stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
- German language capability
- Experience with Polarion, JIRA, Enterprise Architect, and MATLAB/Simulink
