Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Systems Analyst to act as the focal point for business process support within the Project Services Directorate. This role is responsible for ensuring effective use of SAP and other enterprise systems, supporting end-users, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will bridge business and ICT teams, translating operational needs into system enhancements and delivering optimized solutions that support strategic project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Business & Systems Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for system-related queries and issue resolution for engineering and project teams.
- Provide first-line support to ensure systems operate efficiently and meet user requirements within defined timelines.
- Liaise with ICT teams to communicate business requirements and support system enhancements.
Business Process Improvement
- Conduct detailed analysis of existing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and recommend innovative solutions to enhance business processes and system utilization.
- Drive automation and integration initiatives across SAP modules (e.g., SAP PS, ES) and related systems.
Solution Development
- Prepare comprehensive business cases and functional specifications for process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to secure alignment and approvals.
- Translate complex technical and operational requirements into structured documentation.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Perform data analysis and integrity checks to support performance evaluation and decision-making.
- Develop data models, algorithms, and dashboards to derive actionable insights.
- Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for reporting and analytics.
Testing & Implementation
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and system implementation activities.
- Manage data migration activities across SAP and other enterprise systems.
- Ensure solutions are deployed effectively, meeting agreed timelines and business requirements.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across departments to resolve complex business challenges.
- Facilitate collaboration between technical teams and business users to ensure seamless delivery of solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in business process analysis and data analytics within a project-driven environment.
- Prior experience in Oil & Gas or EPC industries is highly preferred.
- Strong expertise in business process analysis, modeling, and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with SAP modules (preferably SAP PS) and enterprise systems.
- Proficiency in data analysis, data mining, and statistical techniques.
- Experience in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SAS, or Python.
- Knowledge of workflow automation tools (e.g., SharePoint).
- Ability to develop data models, algorithms, and simulations.
- Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
- Strong documentation and diagramming skills (process flows, ERDs, workflows).
