SITE INSTRUMENT SUPERINTENDENT
Job Summary
The Instrument Superintendent is a support to PCC Manager on the Sohar Construction Site.
For all PreCommissioning and Commissioning activities, he/she will have to make sure necessary technical, and HSE procedures are followed.
He/she is involved and closely follows up on daily basis such as:
Ensure procedures are approved and are applicable
Temporary means are safe for use
PreCommissioning tasks are completed and signed
Commissioning tasks are completed and signed
Easy Plant follow up (preparation and execution)
Compliance with HSE site procedures
Lead Instrument Site Activities TEN, SCTR, Vendors
All FGS tasks and procedures completed
All Cause & Effect chart and procedures completed
All Control and Safety Valves and procedures completed
All Instruments Loop tested
Define and approve Loop Folders
Usage of temporary means to anticipate Loop checking
Support Process and Utility OTPs
Ensure IECEx conformity
Ensure ICAPS Check and Tests Sheet are used as per ICAPS Standards
Ensure OPERCOM Methodology applied
Knowledge of Emerson / Delta V solution
Familiar with Emerson CHARMS Modules
Ensure compliance according to project schedule
Lead Team of TEN Instrument activities and Vendors/Suppliers
Leading activities on Site
Ensure reporting and progress follow up of his discipline
The Instrument can replace any position in Instrument Team and Support/replace ICSS Commissioning SPDT during his absence from site.

Ensure PreComm dossier is verified and approved
Ensure PreComm check sheets are fully completed and signed off
Liaise with other disciplines
Ensure Punch Items Category A are cleared
3. AOC Achievement of Commissioning Dossiers
Ensure FTS are completed
Ensure OTP are Completed
Ensure Punch Item Category B is cleared
4. HO Handover Dossiers
Ensure smooth handover to OPERATION
Assistance to OPERATION Team /during Startup phase
5. Team
Ensure adequate team spirit
Ensure good behavior of his team

4. Qualifications & Experience
Fluent level of English is obligatory requirement
10-15 years or more’ working experience in an Oil & Gas industry / Control & Instrument Systems (Delta V is a plus)
