Overview
Responsible for supporting workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance across project sites. The role focuses on maintaining a safe working environment, conducting inspections, and promoting safe work practices among employees and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor site safety activities and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Conduct routine site inspections and identify potential hazards or risk areas.
- Implement and maintain safety procedures, controls, and corrective actions.
- Deliver safety briefings, toolbox talks, and awareness training.
- Support permit-to-work activities and ensure safe execution of site operations.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response procedures.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, prepare reports, and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain safety records and documentation.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in a relevant discipline.
- Relevant workplace safety certification(s).
- Several years of experience in a site-based safety or EHS role.
- Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.
