Airswift is looking for a Sr. Supply Chain Specialist – SURF to work in a contractor position in Mexico City for an oil and gas company.
The Senior Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing plans to support the current project, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market dynamics. This professional will lead sourcing activities—from defining specifications to contract award—actively manage supplier relationships to drive performance and continuous improvement, and support contract owners in ensuring effective execution and contractual compliance. The Senior Specialist will lead procurement initiatives for the SURF scope, ensuring the delivery of goods and services on schedule and cost-efficiently.
Please note: Expatriate candidates must hold a visa for the USA.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Support all SURF activities: monitor supplier markets, demand, forecasts, spend, supplier assessment, identify improvement (cost/value/safety) levers and select priority opportunities for added value;
Lead sourcing activities, including setting final specifications and commercial conditions, define critical performance factors, tendering, evaluation of proposals, conduct final negotiations up to and including contract award;
Execute contracts and ensure contract performance and adherence to contractual conditions, contract variations/amendments, handling of disputes and claims;
Manage supplier relationships: monitor supplier performance, support the contract owners in driving continuous improvement and/or supplier development, collect supplier feedback, reduce the cost of poor quality and non-productive time (NPT), optimize supply chain processes;
Make purchases of Goods & Services, spare parts and supplies by generating the purchase order, specifying the prices, payment conditions and place of delivery.
Resolve discrepancies with vendors.
Maintain strong vendor relationships: Ensure all billing changes or disputes are documented professionally and thoroughly.
Lead vendor bid structures, cost control, and procurement workflows
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in a relevant field of study (economics, engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience.
Strong experience in oilfield services, specifically in supporting SURF activities.
Proficient in English (written and spoken).
