This opportunity supports a major detail design phase within the oil and gas sector, focused on static equipment engineering for a large-scale water handling project. The role offers involvement across technical specifications, vendor technical interfaces, design calculations, and interdisciplinary coordination in a complex EPC environment. This position will contribute to safe, compliant, and high-quality engineering delivery aligned with recognised codes, standards, and QA procedures.
Required Education:
Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent
Required Experience:
10–15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry or petrochemical projects
Experience supporting detail design and EPC project delivery
Background in preparing and reviewing design calculations for pressure vessels and tanks
Experience reviewing vendor bids, technical clarifications, and technical reports for static equipment packages
Familiarity with risk assessments, design reviews, constructability, and HAZOP activities
Experience coordinating across disciplines to support materials requisitions and technical project specifications
Exposure to scope change management, deviation resolution, disputed technical items, and change order follow-up
Required Skills:
Good working knowledge of industry engineering codes and standards together with company QA systems, policies, and procedures
Ability to prepare and review technical specifications and technical documentation for air coolers, heat exchangers, storage tanks, specialist equipment, and filters
Strong capability in interdisciplinary delivery checking and coordination of technical interfaces
Ability to analyse technical and contractual issues and prepare formal technical responses
Effective communication skills with the ability to work openly across multiple engineering disciplines
Strong planning, organisation, problem-solving, and results-focused delivery skills
Good knowledge of English, both written and verbal
Commitment to safety and quality in engineering delivery
Preferred Qualifications:
Chartered status is preferable
