This opportunity supports a major detail design phase within the oil and gas sector, focused on static equipment engineering for a large-scale water handling project. The role offers involvement across technical specifications, vendor technical interfaces, design calculations, and interdisciplinary coordination in a complex EPC environment. This position will contribute to safe, compliant, and high-quality engineering delivery aligned with recognised codes, standards, and QA procedures.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent

Required Experience:

  • 10–15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry or petrochemical projects

  • Experience supporting detail design and EPC project delivery

  • Background in preparing and reviewing design calculations for pressure vessels and tanks

  • Experience reviewing vendor bids, technical clarifications, and technical reports for static equipment packages

  • Familiarity with risk assessments, design reviews, constructability, and HAZOP activities

  • Experience coordinating across disciplines to support materials requisitions and technical project specifications

  • Exposure to scope change management, deviation resolution, disputed technical items, and change order follow-up

Required Skills:

  • Good working knowledge of industry engineering codes and standards together with company QA systems, policies, and procedures

  • Ability to prepare and review technical specifications and technical documentation for air coolers, heat exchangers, storage tanks, specialist equipment, and filters

  • Strong capability in interdisciplinary delivery checking and coordination of technical interfaces

  • Ability to analyse technical and contractual issues and prepare formal technical responses

  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work openly across multiple engineering disciplines

  • Strong planning, organisation, problem-solving, and results-focused delivery skills

  • Good knowledge of English, both written and verbal

  • Commitment to safety and quality in engineering delivery

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Chartered status is preferable
