Airswift is seeking a STEM Advisor to support a key project based in Guyana.
The STEM Advisor will play a critical role in shaping and executing STEM education initiatives, driving impactful programs that enhance academic achievement, build confidence, and inspire interest in STEM careers. This position involves strategic planning, project execution, and partnership management, with a strong focus on community engagement and education development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies, budgets, and project plans for STEM education initiatives aligned with organizational goals
- Support the launch and operation of STEM education facilities designed for teachers and students
- Build and manage relationships with external partners, stakeholders, and community organizations
- Prepare high-quality briefing materials for internal leadership and external engagements
- Monitor program performance, using data and stakeholder feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Contribute to financial, procurement, and operational aspects of projects
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong communication skills, with experience preparing executive-level materials
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities
- Proven ability to manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Experience in negotiation and influencing across cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of education systems, community relations, and development initiatives
- Familiarity with grant processes and stakeholder engagement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Adobe Creative Suite is a plus)
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in project and budget management
- Background in STEM education, youth development, or community engagement preferred
- Experience working with education or community development programs is highly valued
- Strong English proficiency required
