Job Title: Structural Designer
Duration: 12 month Renewable
Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands
This opportunity sits within a global engineering environment focused on deepwater ocean infrastructure and floating production solutions across the full asset lifecycle. The role is centred on delivering design work to high standards of safety, reliability and sustainability, supporting detailed design activities within FPSO layout, structural topsides and package engineering interfaces. This position offers the chance to contribute to technically complex projects where design clarity, coordination and execution quality have a direct impact on project delivery.
Required Education:
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Design, or a related field
Required Experience:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
- Experience delivering engineering design within detailed project environments
- Exposure to package engineering and manufacturing interfaces
- Experience working with structural topsides and plant layout in FPSO environments
Required Skills:
- Ability to develop design solutions in line with specifications, international codes, company standards and industry regulations
- Strong capability in engineering design and use of calculation tools
- Plant layout knowledge within FPSO layout environments
- Technical understanding of structural topsides detailed design
- Ability to coordinate with engineers, designers and package engineers to resolve design conflicts and maintain design intent
- Strong planning skills with the ability to complete activities and deliverables within agreed timeframes
- Understanding of system interfaces and change impact across project system boundaries
- Knowledge of safety and environment principles, including human factor engineering
- Ability to review vendor documentation and provide clear, quality-driven technical comments
- Capability to support leadership of design scope and guide other designers where required
