Vacancy Overview:
This opportunity sits within an industrial construction environment and focuses on contract administration, procurement support, and subcontract management across complex project activity. The role offers involvement in pre-award processes, bid evaluation, negotiations, contract execution, and close-out, with exposure to EPC and lump sum turnkey contracts. This position will suit candidates with strong knowledge of contract law, industrial construction methods, and engineering, procurement and construction practices.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business administration, business management, construction, or a related discipline
Required Experience:
6+ years of experience in contracts and procurement
At least 5 years of experience within the industrial construction sector
Experience developing, negotiating, and administering subcontracts on project sites
Experience supporting pre-award contract activities, contractor pre-qualification, bid evaluation, negotiations, contract award, execution, and close-out
Develops and negotiates subcontracts and administrates the Subcontract on the project site
Required Skills:
Strong understanding of contract law, including offer and acceptance and breach of contract
Working knowledge of engineering, procurement and construction techniques
Strong understanding of technical aspects relevant to subcontract administration
Knowledge of industrial construction methods and materials
Risk analysis capability with strong analytical and organisational skills
Ability to prepare requests for proposals and support presentations and contractor meetings
Ability to manage contract compliance, progress reporting, schedules, invoices, supporting documentation, and contractor performance evaluations
Excellent written, verbal, computer, and negotiation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in heavy industrial, oil and gas, petrochemical, refinery, or power generation construction environments
