About the Role
We are seeking a Project Engineer specializing in subsea equipments installation / subsea projects for an oil and gas operator based Perth WA on a 12-months’ contract, Monday-Friday, 40-45 hours a week.
The SPS Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery, readiness, and handover of subsea production equipment throughout the project lifecycle. The role supports the coordination of engineering, manufacturing, testing, installation, and commissioning activities, ensuring equipment is available when required, meets stakeholder requirements, and complies with mechanical completion and handover processes.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate equipment, materials, logistics, and contractors.
- Monitor project progress and escalate issues or delays.
- Oversee contractor performance and HSE compliance.
- Support procurement, vendor management, and engineering reviews.
- Identify technical risks and support assurance activities.
- Ensure quality, mechanical completion, and site readiness.
Skills/Requirements
- Secondary schooling qualifications with experience in Subsea Energy industry of at least 5 years (in lieu of formal tertiary qualifications), or
- Bachelor of Engineering, with 5-years suitable experience
- Demonstrated understanding of project logistics, materials management and supply chain processes associated with subsea equipment delivery.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
- Familiar with SAP, or other ERP systems
- Understanding of engineering, manufacturing and installation.
- Subsea experience includes engineering, manufacturing, testing, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Experience of internal SURF or SPS manufacturers, engineering and manufacturing processes.
