Job Title:

Subsea Project Engineer


Duration:

12 months


Schedule:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday


Location:

St. John’s, NL



This opportunity offers involvement in complex offshore well intervention and subsea project delivery, with responsibility across ROV scope, equipment integration, testing, mobilisation and offshore support. The role is primarily office-based in St. John’s, with time required at site and contractor office locations and potential offshore travel based on project needs. This position will play a key part in coordinating subsea intervention equipment, rig integration activities and technical interfaces across a multi-discipline project environment.



Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering


Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in subsea, offshore, well intervention, ROV or subsea project engineering

  • Experience managing equipment through design, procurement, fabrication, testing, mobilization and offshore deployment

  • Experience managing vendors, subcontractors and technical interfaces

  • Understanding of offshore drilling rigs, vessels, ROV spreads and subsea well intervention operations

  • Demonstrated experience with project cost, schedule, risk and change management


Required Skills:

  • Ability to support development of well intervention concepts and execution strategies

  • Strong technical coordination across wells, drilling, completions, production, subsea, marine, ROV and HSE disciplines

  • Capability to manage technical interfaces between intervention equipment, subsea trees, wellheads, ROVs, vessels, control systems and associated project equipment

  • Experience participating in design reviews, FAT, SIT, integration testing and equipment acceptance

  • Ability to maintain equipment readiness and coordinate mobilization, rig-up, installation, function testing, commissioning and operational acceptance

  • Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to support offshore execution, troubleshoot equipment and procedural issues, and monitor work against approved procedures, schedule and operational objectives


Required Certifications:

  • Professional Engineer (P. Eng) currently registered, or eligible for immediate registration, with PEGNL

Candidates must be located in Newfoundland & Labrador, Eastern Canada, or willing to relocate to St. John's, NL.
