Airswift is recruiting for a SURF Flowlines, Spools & Jumpers Lead Engineer to support a major deepwater development project in Namibia. This role will be responsible for leading all engineering activities related to flowlines, associated subsea structures, rigid spools, and jumpers during the Engineering, Procurement, Supply, Construction and Commissioning (EPSCC) phase of the project.

The successful candidate will work closely with the SURF Technical Manager and interface with SPS, Field Operations, FPSO and contractor teams to ensure safe, compliant and efficient delivery of subsea production and gas injection systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all engineering activities associated with rigid flowlines, spools, jumpers and related subsea structures.

  • Manage the technical delivery of:

    • Production flowline systems and associated structures.

    • Rigid spools and jumpers.

    • Gas injection flowline systems.

  • Review, approve and manage engineering studies, drawings, procedures, specifications and technical documentation issued by the SURF Contractor and suppliers.

  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, company requirements and industry best practices.

  • Review and validate installation, in-place and operational analyses performed by contractors.

  • Lead and mentor the flowlines engineering team, including supervision of spool and jumper engineering personnel.

  • Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation and pre-commissioning activities.

  • Identify technical risks, design deviations, constructability issues and propose practical solutions.

  • Act as the primary technical focal point between the operator, contractors and suppliers for all flowlines, spools and jumpers matters.

  • Monitor contractor performance and progress, identifying schedule or technical deviations and implementing corrective actions.

  • Support project reviews, technical workshops, interface management and lessons learned activities.

  • Participate in offshore installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities when required.

  • Ensure all activities are delivered in accordance with HSE, QA/QC and project governance requirements.

HSE & Compliance

  • Promote and maintain the highest standards of Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality (HSEQ).

  • Ensure engineering deliverables and contractor execution comply with all project HSEQ requirements.

  • Champion ethical business practices and compliance with anti-corruption policies.

  • Drive a strong safety culture throughout all project phases.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Master's Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline.

  • Minimum 15 years' experience in offshore oil and gas projects.

  • Extensive experience in the design and delivery of:

    • Rigid flowlines

    • Subsea spools

    • Jumpers

    • Associated subsea structures

  • Proven track record working on major deepwater SURF EPCI/EPSCC projects.

  • Strong knowledge of DNV standards and subsea engineering codes.

  • Experience managing contractor engineering activities and supplier interfaces.

  • Ability to review detailed subsea design, fabrication and installation documentation.

  • Fluent English communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience with major operators.

  • Experience on large-scale greenfield deepwater developments.

  • Previous exposure to multicultural and international project environments.

  • FPSO experience.
