Position Overview

This opportunity is for a technically focused Survey Manager / Engineer supporting survey system delivery within a demanding engineering environment. The role is suited to candidates with strong experience in survey operations, equipment integration, calibration, and technical support across site-based activities. The Survey Manager / Engineer will play an important part in maintaining project quality objectives and supporting effective survey execution. This Survey Manager / Engineer opportunity offers exposure to complex work connected to major Oil & Gas project delivery.

Role Context

This position sits within the energy sector and supports work linked to major Oil & Gas projects. The working environment includes offshore and onshore worksites as well as office-based support activities. The role involves collaboration with operations and project teams in a technically demanding project execution setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, set up, calibrate, maintain, and service surface and sub-surface positioning related systems.
  • Support deployment and recovery of in-sea equipment for towed seismic operations.
  • Interface equipment and sensors and ensure correct set-up of survey systems at the worksite.
  • Operate tow equipment, survey systems, and relevant technical software packages in line with project requirements.
  • Support project quality objectives and contribute to proactive solutions for quality control issues.
  • Maintain accurate equipment tracking and complete fault reports, incident reports, and end-of-trip reporting.
  • Assist with survey equipment maintenance at work locations and support the duties of the senior survey engineering function.
  • Assist in the preparation of procedures and coordinate effectively with operations and project teams.
  • Promote compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements across all assigned activities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Essential: Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Essential: Minimum of two years of experience working as a Survey Engineer.
  • Essential: Experience operating survey systems, tow equipment, and associated technical software at site.
  • Essential: Experience in equipment integration, calibration, maintenance, and technical support for survey operations.
  • Desirable: Experience within the Oil & Gas fabrication industry.
