Job Title: Senior Contract Advisor
Duration: 12 months
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours per week)
Location: Singapore
This opportunity sits within a global trading environment supporting derivatives contracting and commercial advisory activity. The role focuses on OTC derivatives documentation, contract negotiation, risk analysis, and regulatory compliance, with scope to support both pre-deal and post-deal activity across complex trading arrangements. This position offers exposure to a fast-paced energy trading setting and the chance to contribute to commercially important contractual outcomes.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Law or equivalent legal/commercial contracting experience
Required Experience:
- Minimum 4 years' experience negotiating and managing derivative contracts, including ISDA agreements
- Experience supporting OTC derivatives contracts and trade confirmations
- Experience working in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment
- Experience resolving contractual issues with counterparties and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
Required Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of OTC derivatives trading documentation and contractual frameworks
- Expertise in ISDA Agreements, Credit Support Annexes, Variation Margin CSAs, Brokerage Agreements, and Master Trading Agreements
- Ability to draft, review, negotiate, and manage standard and complex derivatives agreements
- Strong understanding of regulations governing derivatives trading activities
- Commercial judgment and contractual risk assessment capability
- Ability to prepare and negotiate bespoke agreements supporting new business opportunities and structured transactions
- Strong stakeholder management, organisation, analytical ability, and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities and tight deadlines
- Ability to provide guidance and mentorship within a collaborative team environment
