TRANSLATOR / INTERPRETER (UKRAINIAN, RUSSIAN & ENGLISH)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Translator / Interpreter to support the delivery of a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Kyiv, Ukraine.
The successful candidate will provide accurate translation and interpretation services between Ukrainian, Russian, and English to support communication between international project teams, local contractors, suppliers, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities. Working within a fast-paced energy infrastructure environment, you will play a key role in ensuring effective communication throughout the engineering, construction, and commissioning phases of the project.
Responsibilities
Provide verbal interpretation during project meetings, site visits, workshops, and stakeholder discussions
Translate technical, commercial, contractual, HSE, and project documentation between Ukrainian, Russian, and English
Support communication between international project personnel and local contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders
Assist project teams during construction and commissioning activities by ensuring clear and accurate communication
Translate reports, procedures, presentations, meeting minutes, correspondence, and other project documentation
Review and proofread translated materials to ensure linguistic accuracy and consistency
Support engineering, construction, project management, commercial, and HSE teams with translation requirements
Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive commercial and project information
Assist with interactions involving local authorities and regulatory bodies where language support is required
Ensure technical terminology is translated accurately and consistently across all project documentation
Requirements
Fluency in English, Ukrainian, and Russian (written and spoken)
Proven experience as a Translator and/or Interpreter within construction, engineering, infrastructure, industrial, or energy projects
Experience translating technical documentation, contracts, specifications, and project communications
Strong understanding of engineering and construction terminology
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Ability to work effectively within multicultural and international project environments
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Previous experience supporting renewable energy, power generation, transmission, distribution, or BESS projects is advantageous
