Vacancy Overview:
This opportunity supports major refinery turnaround and outage execution in a highly technical industrial environment. The role focuses on field coordination, turnaround planning, work package readiness, and cross-functional execution across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Inspection, and contractor teams. This position offers the chance to contribute to large-scale maintenance events, capital project integration, and continuous improvement activities at an active refinery site.
Required Experience:
Minimum 10 years of refinery or petrochemical turnaround experience, including field coordination of large and complex maintenance or construction events
Strong background in turnaround planning, execution, work management, and contractor coordination
Proven experience working effectively with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Inspection, and contractor organizations
Experience coordinating turnarounds, outages, catalyst changes, shutdowns, and other major maintenance events
Experience participating in constructability reviews and supporting alignment between turnaround and capital project activities
Required Skills:
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to review turnaround work packages for scope completeness, constructability, safety, quality, and execution readiness
Ability to monitor progress, risks, schedule adherence, and productivity, while escalating issues as needed
Capability to work outdoors in all seasons and conduct extensive field walkdowns in active operating and construction environments
Ability to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, during turnaround execution
Ability to work in an industrial refinery environment, including climbing towers, extended walking, accessing equipment, and carrying a minimum of 50 lbs
Commitment to site safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience building, reviewing, and auditing turnaround work packages and job plans
Working knowledge of SAP, IPS, and Primavera P6
PMP certification, a Construction Management degree, or equivalent project management experience
