US|Lab Technician II

This opportunity is suited to a laboratory professional supporting routine analytical testing within the oil and gas industry. The role focuses on crude oil and product characterization, working with analytical laboratory equipment and generating clear test reports to support research activity. This position offers exposure to wet preparation procedures, NMR, GC-MS, and data analysis in a structured onsite laboratory environment.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field

Required Experience:

  • 2–4 years of commercial analytical laboratory experience

  • Experience performing routine analytical tests for crude oil and related products

  • Experience working under the supervision of a scientist in a research or testing environment

Required Skills:

  • Ability to set up, adjust, maintain, operate, and clean analytical laboratory equipment

  • Experience using wet preparation procedures and advanced analytical equipment such as NMR and GC-MS

  • Ability to analyse, gather, and document test data and prepare reports using charts, graphs, and written summaries

  • Ability to handle solvents and prepare dilutions safely and accurately

  • Proficiency in MS Excel

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Attention to detail and effective problem-solving ability

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Basic knowledge of analytical testing laboratory techniques

  • Ability to analyse data and accurately record results

  • High degree of integrity
