Utility Operator / Mechanical Technician

Our client is seeking a Utility Operator / Mechanical Tech for a short-term assignment on an FPSO currently in port in Invergordon. Supporting routine operations and essential equipment checks aboard the vessel.
Role Context
This position is suited to a Utility Operator / Mechanical Tech with a marine engineering and or FPSO background. The role sits within day-to-day technical operations and requires practical support across equipment monitoring, rounds, and basic maintenance activities.
About the Role
The Utility Operator / Mechanical Tech will contribute to the safe and reliable running of onboard equipment by carrying out routine checks, monitoring key systems, and supporting maintenance tasks as required. The role will be working on nightshift basis for the time onboard.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete routine log taking on running equipment.
- Carry out regular rounds of the engine room and external areas, including Main Deck, Poop Deck, Production Areas and Helideck.
- Check running generators and confirm Diesel Oil and Potable Water tank quantities on a regular basis.
- Monitor Engine Room bilge levels and carry out transfer when deemed necessary.
- Carry out weekly test runs of Lifeboat engines and Mooring Capstan and HPU.
- Support basic maintenance tasks as required.
- Run diesel oil purifier as required.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Utility Operator / Mechanical Tech experience.
- Marine engineering and or FPSO background.
- Ability to support routine operational duties, equipment checks and basic maintenance tasks.
