Job Purpose
Act as the Company Site Representative onboard a Diving Support Vessel (DSV) or Cable Lay Vessel (CLV), ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality execution of subsea construction activities.
Provide leadership oversight to contractor offshore teams and ensure all work is executed in accordance with established procedures, policies, and safety standards.
Job Context & Key Challenges

Core Challenges
- Driving safe subsea construction execution
- Managing incident response and offshore risk
- Coordinating simultaneous operations (SIMOPS)
- Ensuring compliance with diving and ROV equipment certifications
- Overseeing subcontractor and vessel performance
Key Accountabilities
- Act as Company representative onboard DSV/CLV during offshore execution phases
- Serve as the main interface with contractor offshore management and workforce
- Monitor contractor compliance with specifications, procedures, and risk assessments
- Ensure all safety reviews (e.g., risk assessments, hazard identification) are closed out prior to critical activities
- Act as focal point between operations and contractor during field execution, particularly for SIMOPS and permit coordination
- Oversee contractor marine activities and ensure vessel compliance with operational requirements
- Coordinate across multiple project teams and stakeholders to resolve issues effectively
- Demonstrate leadership, integrity, and strong decision-making offshore
- Drive efficient, timely, and cost-effective delivery based on offshore experience
- Act as area authority for vessel-related Permit to Work (PTW) systems

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- High School Diploma (minimum)
- Recognised offshore certifications
- Mandatory:
- OPITO H2S
- T-BOSIET
- IMCA Dive Supervisor certification
Experience
- Minimum 15 years offshore installation experience on DSVs
- At least 5 years in a leadership role such as:
- Offshore Construction Manager
- Company Site Representative
- DSV Superintendent
- Minimum 5 years diving experience (air or saturation) or as Dive Supervisor
Technical & Business Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Offshore installation and subsea construction methods
- Marine operations and vessel-based execution
- Diving and ROV operations
- Familiar with:
- Lifting and rigging practices
- Offshore safety standards
- Fluent in English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
