Waste Management Incident Investigation Consultant (German Speaking)
We are seeking two experienced German-speaking consultants to support a major waste management operator in Germany with a critical operational assessment and incident investigation project.
The assignment will involve conducting site-based reviews across multiple facilities, identifying operational and safety risks, investigating incidents, and completing a root cause analysis to support improvement initiatives and management decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct operational assessments across seven waste management sites in the Frankfurt region.
- Lead and facilitate incident investigations and root cause analysis activities.
- Review operational processes, safety practices, and compliance with local regulations.
- Identify behavioural, operational, and systemic factors contributing to incidents or performance issues.
- Engage with site leadership and operational personnel to gather information and validate findings.
- Develop practical recommendations to improve safety performance, operational effectiveness, and risk management.
- Consolidate findings into a comprehensive management report and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- Significant experience within the waste management, environmental services, industrial operations, or related sectors.
- Strong understanding of German waste management regulations and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses.
- Experience leading operational excellence, safety improvement, or behavioural change initiatives.
- Ability to engage effectively with frontline personnel and senior leadership teams.
- Fluent German and professional English language skills.
- Willingness to travel to multiple sites around the Frankfurt region during the assessment period.
