Job Title: Welding Inspector
Duration: 1 Week 
Schedule: Start 21st Sep
Location: Inverness, Scotland

This opportunity sits within a company providing oil and gas testing and inspection services for construction projects. The role offers the chance to contribute to welding inspection activities across pipe spools, pipeline fabrication, oil and gas fabrication yards, and structural steel fabrication, with a strong focus on quality documentation and visual inspection. This position will suit candidates with technical inspection expertise and experience working within fabrication environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out welding inspection activities across pipe spools, pipeline fabrication, oil and gas fabrication yards, and structural steel fabrication.
  • Review welding documentation including WPS, WPQR, welder qualifications, and welding records.
  • Perform strong visual inspection activities in line with project and fabrication requirements.
  • Produce clear and accurate inspection reports.

Required Education & Certifications:

  • CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector (Required)

Required Experience:

  • Welding inspection experience within fabrication environments.
  • Experience inspecting pipe spools, pipeline fabrication, oil and gas fabrication yards, and structural steel fabrication.
  • Previous fabrication yard experience.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to review WPS, WPQR, welder qualifications, and welding records.
  • Strong visual inspection capability.
  • Ability to produce inspection reports.

Preferred Education & Certifications:

  • PCN Level 2 in UT, MT, or PT (Preferred)

Preferred Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Offshore wind fabrication exposure.
