Welding Specialist

Location: Milan, Italy 
Contract: September 2026 to 28 February 2028
Rotation / Set up: Monday to Friday

Join a leading energy and chemicals company as a Welding Specialist, where you will play a crucial role in the Safaniyah Water Handling Project in Milan, Italy. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a significant project that aims to enhance water supply and injection capabilities, ensuring sustainable production forecasts through 2035.

Role Overview

  • Plan and prepare schedules for completing work within deadlines.
  • Ensure that the job progresses according to the established schedule.
  • Review, participate, guide, and manage the FEED/EPC contractor in developing the scope of works as defined in the various Work Entity Releases (WER’s).
  • Provide technical support to the project management team and engage in specialty services related to static equipment, piping, material selection, corrosion control, non-metallic materials, and PMI.
  • Resolve specialty-related engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Welding expertise: Proficient in welding techniques and practices.
  • EPC knowledge: Familiarity with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction processes.
  • Design understanding: Ability to interpret and assess design specifications.
  • Technical problem-solving: Strong analytical skills to resolve engineering issues.
  • Code compliance: Knowledge of relevant codes and standards in welding and construction.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline.
  • 15 years of relevant experience in large to mega projects as specified by the CSD welding group.
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, and design details.
  • Good working knowledge of international standards and procedures.
