This opportunity supports shore-base and offshore logistics operations within a technically demanding oil and gas environment. The role focuses on cargo handling, materials control, crane and rigging oversight, and safe coordination of yard activities to help ensure efficient movement of equipment and supplies to offshore assets. This company is seeking a professional with strong operational leadership and a practical understanding of logistics, safety compliance, and inventory coordination.

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience:

  • Experience in yard operations, logistics, or materials handling, ideally within an offshore oil and gas environment

  • Minimum one year of yard foreman or supervisory experience

  • Supervisory experience in a shore-base, fabrication yard, or industrial warehouse environment

  • Experience coordinating logistics for offshore operations, including marine and/or aviation support

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of cargo handling, rigging, and crane operations

  • Strong understanding of safety practices, Job Safety Analyses, and yard operations

  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities and personnel in a dynamic environment

  • Strong organisational, communication, problem-solving, and crew management skills

  • Familiarity with USCG cargo manifest procedures and DOT hazardous materials regulations

  • Knowledge of crane and rigging operations, load handling practices, and Permit to Work systems

Required Certifications:

  • Valid TWIC card and driver's licence (Required)

  • DOT/HAZMAT certification (Required)

  • BOSIET/HUET or THUET, if the role includes offshore rotation (Required)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting offshore logistics and shore-base operations

  • Familiarity with DOT, USCG, and offshore cargo regulations

  • Experience with inventory tracking systems and logistics coordination

  • Associate degree or vocational certification in Logistics, Warehousing, or a related field

  • Rigging and Crane Hand certification such as NCCCO or equivalent (Preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of load calculations and ASME B30 standards

  • SAP MM or other materials or inventory management system experience

  • Advanced Fire Fighting

  • Lifeboatman

  • Fast Rescue Craft (FRC)

  • First Aid / CPR

  • Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO)

  • Level II-IV experience with 4+ years supporting full yard operations, complex logistics movements, and larger contractor workforces
