Disruptions to the client's operations
Our client, a leading independent midstream business, experienced rapid growth across their Canadian operations, driving a significant increase in their contingent workforce, which ultimately represented a quarter of their total workforce. With 25+ staffing suppliers and 250+ independent contractors working directly with our client, their contingent workforce program lacked centralized visibility into overall spend, performance metrics, and clear processes across operating locations.
These challenges prompted our client to initiate an RFP aimed at finding a strategic workforce partner to streamline their contingent workforce program through a holistic managed services approach, delivering the structure, visibility, and governance necessary to align our client's contingent workforce strategy with overarching business objectives.
Without a unified point of ownership for contingent workforce management, our client's internal teams faced operational inefficiencies including time-intensive processes, inconsistent worker onboarding, manual timesheet tracking, and limited visibility into contingent workforce spend.
Additionally, with our client's stakeholders driving the RFP process, securing buy-in from key field managers was critical to ensuring long-term program adoption and success.
Airswift was awarded as the client's primary recruitment provider and, a few months later, was appointed as the client's primary workforce solutions partner, expanding our role to include payroll, supplier management, and market intelligence services for their entire contingent workforce.
Our client's decision to transition these responsibilities to Airswift was driven by their need for a trusted partner capable of delivering high-quality talent alongside the necessary structure and technology needed for integrated program management, enhancing visibility, compliance, and operational efficiency throughout the entire lifecycle of their contingent workforce.
Delivering high-quality contingent talent across crucial skill areas by leveraging our extensive network and industry insights.
