Background

Our client is a Fortune 500 company for midstream petroleum services, including transportation and refinery, based in Denver, Colorado. It was awarded 21 exclusive new positions across New Mexico and West Texas, including Plant Operators, Plant Managers, Measurement Techs, Maintenance Techs and I&E Techs.

Challenge

The company faced a limited local talent pool and needed assistance in filling these position with the following requirements:

  • Candidates should be attracted by the company's reputation
  • Candidates must be within a 40-50 mile radius of the work sites
  • Employees will work a 7 on 7 off schedule
  • On-site accommodation and housing would not be provided

Given the spread of locations, Airswift provided a more targeted approach in hiring by utilizing local networks, as well as Airswift’s large candidate database and local offices in Midland, Texas and Denver, Colorado.

In addition, Airswift provided consulting services, including market intelligence regarding the candidates’ perception of the company as well as rate guidance.

Results

Airswift successfully identified and recruited all 21 positions for the company. As a result of this success, Airswift was awarded a further 23 positions for their operations in south east New Mexico and 18 positions in West Texas.
