Our office in Nouakchott provides seamless support service throughout the entire life cycle of a project, as well as local assistance and destination services, with support from our regional hub in Manchester, UK. Welding & NDT Inspector - Inspection - Oil & Gas - FPSO - Mauritania

Airswift was engaged to source two highly qualified Welding & NDT Inspectors for a major energy sector client, specialising in FPSO projects. The positions demanded in-depth expertise in welding and NDT inspections, full knowledge of AWS, ASME, and ASNT level 2 standards, advanced proficiency in English, and competency with MS Office 365. Key responsibilities included clarifying project requirements, reviewing technical documentation, monitoring welders’ qualifications, overseeing NDT processes, and serving as the main point of contact for all welding and NDT issues at the yard.

Using targeted headhunting and rigorous assessment, we identified inspectors with the technical depth and communication skills vital for the project’s complexity. The selected candidates ensured strict quality control, reduced welding rejection rates, and improved coordination between contractor, company, and third-party teams. Their contributions delivered robust assurance on project compliance, supporting efficient, safe, and reliable energy operations.
